Slept in a little and then went outside to much better weather than yesterday when Chad and I drove to NM....It was still breezy, but temps were much better. Was a bum around the Cabin for awhile and then took a walk in the Park. Took the Camera of course, since this is prime Birding season in Southern AZ and there were lots of different types of Waterfowl on the Lake.

Followed the Lake around CCW, just walking the shoreline, a little of the Road, and some of the Trail that weaves around the South side of the Lake. Took a Tour of the Island and spent some time with the Camera out there. Walked around, said hello to some Horses and then met Chad at the opposite end while he took a break.

Finished the Walk by doubling back toward the way I came, but taking the Trail that eventually climbs up to Mariah Mesa and enjoying the views up there. Descended and walked back to the Cabin where I sat on the Picnic Table and proceeded to use the Camera to take Pot Shots of Chad while he was working.... :D Chad got done working and we were off to Discovery Park.

Wildlife seen today at Roper Lake, (besides a Water Rat :D ) Common Mergansers, Canadian Geese, at least 1 Hawk (Cooper's), but maybe more than 1, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Green-winged Teal, Coots, Roadrunner, 2 Horses, Northern Shovelers, Mallards, Domestic Duck Hybrid, Flycatcher, and numerous Lizards. Additional Wildlife seen on my stay here: Male Cardinal, numerous Sparrows and several Raccoon... :)
