| no partners | | This was a great little surprise o a trip. This was the first time I had taken my 5 year old out on an overnight hike - so I was looking for something that was kid friendly. This turned out to be perfect. The spring water made it easy - no need to pack heavy water, just filter. The route is relatively easy, not much dramatic elevation change. Amazing what a little water int he desert will do. This is a real gem of an area. A real oasis. The swimming hole at about 2 miles in is a real treat on a hot day. We were pleased to see that sycamore creek was running even above the parson spring, due to the recent heavy rains and snows upstream. |

Wildflowers Observation None I thought for sure we would see a bit more wildflowers, but we were a bit too early, the green grass was just starting to sprout under the trees -- wildflower in a couple of weeks |
