| partners | | Leisurely backpack into Parson's Spring. The weather got quite hot on us, but it was predicted, so we set in fairly early, but arrived to find out we were only the 3rd HAZ group of the day. Group #1 was doing the Packard Trail, and not sure which dayhikers ended up being group #2? Scouted around before finding a good site and set up camp. After awhile a few others made it into camp, and we even got a visit from Teva Joe and Bruce, mystery HAZ group #1, who reported that the ruins were worth a visit.
The night was warm and peaceful and I was able to spot a shooting star from the meteor shower which would peak while we all slept.
Packed out the next day as the temps climbed, but luckily Chumley had planned ahead with some drinks in a cooler! Thanks! |

| | Lots of water near the top, unclear if Parson's Spring is the spring flowing from under a rock ledge, or the source of the pools that appear slightly further up canyon. |

| | I took a bit to figure out that this spring was feeding the entire creek near the trail, not sure that the origin point was clear. | | _____________________
