| no partners | | Last year I had the fortune of attending an AZ Highways Flower Photo Workshop out at Bartlett Lake. UNfortunately, the wildflowers were quite limited. So this year I decided to head out there on my own after work. I'm so glad I did as now I can see why they come out here year after year. I found myself wishing Colleen or Ambika could guide me as to how best shoot these numerous scenes and wildflowers.
Interestingly enough, the area we were at last year was nearly void of wildflowers but there were lots of other areas that made up for it. It was an overcast day so I didn't really have to fight the light on the flora shots.
As I was editing the photos, this is one time that I didn't want the set to end. And as you'll see, there are still quite a few pics for the HAZ photo set and many more hit the cutting room floor and went to my Flickr site instead. Anyway, I highly suggest if you want to take in the wildflower season next year, and we have a decent season, head out this way. |
