| no partners | | Since I felt pretty good on my hike yesterday, I decided to do another one this morning. I wanted to see if my right knee would give me much grief on the downhill. Again today I felt strong, and there was no pain on the downhill, so I must be getting my leg strength back. In the past I have found that if I increase my hiking and strengthen the leg muscles, the knee issues aren't as pronounced. Meanwhile I did have it x-rayed and am waiting for word back about that. I liked the dew points in the mid 50s this morning, as we are having a little pre-monsoon test run with some maritime air coming up from the Gulf of California. Can't wait for the real thing to arrive. I like increased humidity in the air when I hike as it cuts down the amount of water I need to drink. In fact for this short one today I didn't even take one sip. Didn't get thirsty and felt great! |
