| no partners | | I didn't have anyone to hike with so I figured I was safest walking this road since it has more traffic and is paved. Just my luck, it's the first time I run into a rattlesnake (see pics).
I started before there was any light, about 4:40 AM, and used my flashlight for the first 20 minutes. It is so hot here that you have to leave real early in order to get done before you bake. There was no water other than a few, small, disgusting pools full of bugs. Hopefully with monsoon season, things will get back to normal (there is normally flowing water along the west side of the road). |
