| partners | | I've been showing my visiting buddy the upper Pinalenos for a few days and thought for today a change of scenery was in order. Decided on an afternoon drive out to Gila Box for a nice stroll along the Cottonwood Trail. We ended the short loop trail at the wildlife viewing platform where my friend then spotted the only wildlife of the day .......... and it was a good one! Just a little bit up Bonita Creek and half way up the cliff wall was a magnificent Rocky Mountain Bighorn Ram!
A couple of Wow's, a few dozen pics and a thank you was said before he moved out of sight up the canyon.
Our trip to the Box then ended down by the Gila river watching the full moon come up and a short drive back to town ended this well spent afternoon! |
