Birthday hike ... 4th visit to the Box in nine days.
I'm going to be spending a lot of time here for the next six months or so ... I honestly cannot oversell it as a winter destination. You can bring your tent, camper, hiking boots, mountain bike, atv, kayak, fishing rod, gun, horse shoes, horse, camera, etc - just about any toy you own, you can use it here.
The previous two visits were spent mostly in the shady riparian confines of Bonita Creek, so this time I returned to the desert and river bank meanderings of the Cottonwood trail and several off-trail stretches along the river. Found some amazing sandy beaches for riverside lounging.
