| partners | | On again…off again. The plan was to have a gathering of salt on 10/12 with a backup date of 10/26. The penguin meteorologist worked diligently running permutations and we decided on 10/25. Right before we reached the Gap, it was raining and then hailing but seeing the double rainbow, we knew all was good. Plus we had the secret weapon, driving out to the lookout point to confirm blueness. All systems go, Giddyup and a safety meeting and we were off. Chums and I left the Medal group and headed to paradise. It was a giddy hike down knowing what was in store for us. We realized you could see the color at the start and at several other points along the way. 
I won’t bore you with the other awesome details but it was a great trip. Each trip I’ve done down there has been memorable in its own way. I can’t wait to get back. Thanks for driving Uncle and it was good to see the Medal crew and meet a couple new people.
I added a half mile and 400aeg for my awesome morning hike above Salt. Will def do that again for sunrise and not forget tp. I known TMI  . |
