| no partners | | A loop to try out some new areas in the north end of the McDowell's for me.
Started on the Marcus Landslide Trail, the clouds and morning light made this one a winner. Throw in some perfect temps, a splash Fauna and having the trail to myself....Nice morning.
The Marcus Landslide area is worth checkout. They have all sorts of interpretive signs explaining the geology. Great area to bring out of town guests to.
Checked out the Windmill / Well area for the first time... Interesting.
Saw only a few bike riders and one pair of hikers until I crested the East End Trail and hit the Tom Thumb trail. Then there was a steady stream of finely outfitted dressed hikers.
When I got back to the TH (Which is paved all the way now), there were more that 100 cars and 5 horse trailers in the 4 lots. Quite a few more than the five vehicles in the lot when I got there. |
