WOW IT WAS COLD! The little thermometer on my pack read 34'F. So I kept my pace fast to stay warm. I have to admit that I was not impressed with the first half of the hike 
It started to get better around two or three mile mark. 
The views of the surrounding canyons are awesome and the ever present sound of running water is nice. Only saw 5 people on the trail all day. No swimming today 
The water was just a few degrees above freezing so I'll be coming back to this one when the water is a little warmer. 
I also want to hit a couple of the trails that spur off this trail.
