Clear skies and nice light this morning. I zero'd my crappy Garmin 62S and somehow it zero'd the distance and elapsed time, but not the AEG. It did not retain the previous AEG either: Instead it added a seemingly random 300 bonus AEG with the first quarter mile (a 180 foot climb). Maybe it has achieved "Her"-like sentience and wants me to feel good about my accomplishments? The bum bag I dropped in the Pointe Hilton corral garbage a month ago ( http://hikearizona.com/photo=395701 ) is still there. Found five bags of dog poo, include one clear bag the owner thougtfully left so other hikers could gaze in wonder at their pride & joy's greatest accomplishment. Perhaps what I was seeing was not digested Alpo, but five lost Garmin 62S units?
