Intended to do something yesterday, until I realized it was Mother's Day. Like Rock beats scissors, mom beats hiking.

Today, I thought about going out in my backyard, but was not feeling especially motivated to do so. Sometime after 8:00 a.m., I asked my wife if she could drop me off in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve on her way to a sewing class. So, she dropped me off at the Tatum trailhead at 8:45 a.m. and I started walking. It was rather warm from the off. The only saving grace was an occasional slight breeze. Had two water bottles, refilling one at the Dreamy Draw TH. It was pretty toasty by the time I finished at 11:30. Ended up drinking three waters during the hike, then a V-8, a 24 (?) oz Arizona Green Tea w/t Ginseng & Honey, and a 12 oz Diet 7-Up after I got home.
