It is rough hiking in a pretty canyon that often has pools of water."
In the one triplog I found posted by Kanode he writes, "This is the most interesting section of Tortilla Creek that I've seen. It's possibly the best creek hike that I've ever been on with a great reward to effort ratio."
This hike has been on my list for a while and every time we would hike FR213 I would look down on that section of Tortilla Creek and think to myself, some day. Well, yesterday was "some day" and in a word, FANTASTIC. It was rough and slow hiking and you constantly had to be route finding but that just added to the fun. There was no water going over the waterfall but to be honest I highly doubt you could complete this hike if there was unless you were a fish or had a raft but then it's not a hike. |
