| no partners | | Hiked down to the Angel Basin area and then went out on Frog Tanks Trail for a bit. Saw a couple campers in and around Angel Basin. Pictures posted are of the Angel Basin Corral.
On the drive to the TH the brakes on my son's SUV started making some noise. Didn't think too much of it just figured some dust got between the discs and rotors. On the drive out, on one of the steep declines, we felt a "pop" and I knew something in the brakes just snapped. Knowing by driving with whatever was damaged would more than likely cause more damage but not really being equipped to do any kind of repairs, we just kept going at a slow pace and finally made it out and back home. The damage, $629.00. The rear brakes were totally destroyed. Could only salvage 1 part on the left side. Ouch  |
