| no partners | | I had good luck and a nice time finding petroglyphs in this area last weekend. I figured there must be plenty more up there so I planned a different path in the same area.
Wow! It was petroglyph city. It was a glyph-a-palooza. In addition to finding a lot of nice rock art along (almost) the entire route, I passed 5 or 6 habitation sites detectable by things like foundation "outlines", a bit of rubble, and pottery pieces (for some).
Worth mentioning that this is a nice off-trail hike 90% of the time, staying on high ridges and hilltops. Negatives are some steep sections (initial climb up the first hill and descent from the last one) and some dense cacti which will try to stick you a good one.
