I had a destination mind but I didn't make it there. The going was slower and rougher than I expected.

It's a nice area but the hillsides are steep and the creek bottoms have a lot of obstacles: the trees, bushes and reeds are more problematic than the (mainly small) pour offs. I only had to bypass high twice, but I was a little nervous all day about getting out in time - slow going.

The horseshoe shaped route brought me back to the road about 5mi from my car. I walked about 1.5mi up the road before bumming a ride.

I'll need a better plan next time.
