| no partners | | Family hike with Micah, Sarrah, and my mother in law. First time for all of them up Mt. Esther to the reservoir. Down the notch. Carried Micah up and down the notch. She would not nap with Sarrah around so she got to carry Micah during nap time. They headed to the Blue Moose Tavern and I hiked back to the house to get the truck afterwards. It was a welcome day out after finally getting back to work. Quite a bit of snow in some areas. Cardio felt good even with carrying the little monkey. Toes still painful, but I'm pretty much tired of waiting for them to heal at this point after almost 4 months. Tried out a new pair of socks that my wife bought and I'm going to be buying a couple more pairs. I won't be doing any crazy hikes until they are healed or removed, but I'm definitely going to be getting out more and these socks did a good job of padding the two bad toes. All the others have healed and I don't seem to have any unusual sensitivity. I've had to change some strategies for protecting the feet and these socks will be added to the arsenal. I've never worn a sock that does such a good job of keeping moisture away from the feet.  |
