I carried her up the trail and down in my our Boba Air which is a nice replacement for the heavy Kelty kid carrier I inherited. It is the equivalent to the flash 18 for carrying bipedal monkeys. much more comfortable and significantly lighter. Maybe half a pound and much cooler for me and Micah than the Ergo my wife prefers. Lots of mushrooms and flowers along the trail. A little rain and not so distant thunder echoing through Ute Pass and a nice breeze. We finished with grilling chicken and fresh vegetables from today's farmers market for fajitas and a nice refreshment on the deck while watching the sun and shadows dance across Waldo Canyon and the hummingbirds jockey for position. Pretty nice day!
BTW downloaded Haz tracks for the iPhone and it worked well. It was pretty close to what I guessed the trip was with skipping Mt Esther Peak and the no name peak I thought about dragging them up. It's far easier to use than the learning curve on my 450 t was. Battery use was pretty minimal. I have small back up battery that I can plug into my phone gps etc. that will charge the phone 3 times on a charge which combined with my phone is still smaller than the Garmin 450 so I'll be playing more with this in the future.
Thanks Joe! |
