Time to get back in the saddle.
I woke up this morning w/out pain for the first time in three weeks. :y: It had been so bad on my hitch at work that I did not walk laps for the entire 17 days except for one day. My main goal for the day was to get outside and enjoy the day. I also wanted to follow a trail I'd seen by Catamount Falls to see where it went. Wasn't planning to get that far as it was on the other side of Green Mountain Falls, but I surprised myself. :D I went up Mt. Esther connected to Ring the Peak and decided I hadn't been up Mt. Esther itself in over a year so I took the side trail. Views in every direction were great. Continued on ring the peak to the Notch and dropped down to the Thomas trail. Took the side trail to Crystal Falls and back up Thomas trail to Catamount Falls. Followed the side trail I had my eye on previously, which turns out to be a continuation of Thomas Trail according to my Pikes Peak trail map or Catamount trail according to the GMF trail network website, which goes into a nice Meadow called Garden of Eden Meadow and then follows Catamount Creek up to the reservoir. There is a split in the trail with a sign that says Trail Dangerously Steep enter at your own risk. I decided to save this one for when I have all my toes 100% :scared:
By this time my wife had called saying she was on her way home. I came out at the Ring the Peak trail and followed the maintenance road past the equipment barn and bushwacked a figure 8 back to the Mt. Esther trail just below the summit to make kind of a loop. The track showed a rough Figure 8 and made it to the house just as Sarrah and Micah were pulling up. :y:

The hike was great and my feet weren't too bad after the miles and AEG I put on them. I have to go back to the podiatrist in the middle of June and really hope at that point they are healed enough to give me a prognosis after 5+ months. ](*,) I'm not 100%, but this hike gave me a good guage of where I'm at and I think at this point I can probably do most of the hikes I'd like to do except for my 2 big hikes which will not happen w/out training and toes 100% healed.
