| no partners | | Got a late start and didn't have the most energy today, so I decided to jolt myself back into awareness with this tough little local favorite. I like this trail for a few key reasons...
1. Much less crowded than it's more famous neighbor, yet still offers awesome views of Finger Rock nearly the whole way.
2. There is a cool little cholla patch about half way up that I love to take photos at, they frame Finger quite nicely.
3. Great tough climb for a short distance.
These reasons won me over today, a very nice day in Tucson. The informal scramble route to the summit is always a blast. The last little stretch on the grassy ridge is actually getting a bit overgrown. |
