I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and hiking with Joe and Preston yesterday at Ash Canyon/Bassett Peak in the Galiuros. It turned out to be a beautiful day and sensational hike with colors and views to knock your socks off. The top of Bassett Peak is as good of a vista as I've seen in Arizona. This is one of the best hikes in the state for me. I cannot say enough.

Thanks to RedRoxx for the beta on the hike and getting there. Unfortunately I did not get to meet her, don't know how that happened :?: Maybe next time (because there will certainly be a next time).

It was also very cool to meet Suzaz, Desertgirl and Matt.

I look forward to seeing the photos from everyone. They will surely rock. I'll probably keep my amateur junk to myself :lol:
