This trail is definately a favorite! The terrain varies so much and the views are so awesome that it keeps you intrigued the whole hike. I love scrambling up and around big rocks and there are many rockslide formations from the steep canyon. It makes you wonder what a slide like that looks and sounds like. You wouldn't want to be around then or when its wet. We ran into a few puddles and green oasis areas. We appeared to be the only ones there except for the campers we saw on the way in. My GMC Jimmy scraped at the same place as in the description and 4-wheel drive was a must! 4-Wheelin in the sandy river bottom was fun. Actually the whole drive from Hwy. 60 was very enjoyable. |
