This was a sweet trip that took a hell of a lot of work! Our group arranged a shuttle and we were off at 9:30am. After a considerable amount of effort we got back to the vehicle around 4:30pm. It was a long but amazing day!

The first couple of miles were easy going as we followed the creek through a tree covered paradise. After that we turned into our canyon and things got really fun. The canyon tightens up and we were greeted by boulders and lots of water. Our pace slowed as we navigated down canyon. We kept mostly dry at first but eventually started walking in water. For the most part we went out of our way to avoid large pools. We didn't make any swims early on as we would "hike" for thirty minutes and then take a short break. We repeated this all day.

It felt like the canyon would never end as the hours ticked by. Late in the day we could tell we were down to a couple miles at most. We thought all the tough stuff was behind us and that's when we get to a narrows that has some mandatory swims. I sealed up my dry bag as we went one after another. The water was invigorating as we swam across. There were several pools for us as we continued down canyon. As we neared the bottom we saw a person up ahead and we knew we were done.

After the final swim we regrouped and then started the hike out to the vehicle. Along the hike out we noticed a few nudist off in the distance. We kept our distance as we hiked out. After a few more minutes we were back to the truck and on our way.

This is an excellent canyon that I truly loved! We could have saved some time by doing more swims earlier on. We went a long way and the day dragged on near the end. We were all glad when it was over. Thanks Franky for putting this together!
