| no partners | | Walk around the back yard, hacking up lungies. I think it is allergies. It is so bad, I had to stop a couple of times to catch my breath. It's wierd, because I used to get really bad scratchy eyes, but not the last few years. Now, I simply can't breath.
There's a small 30-40 ft. hill just south of Thunderbird. The established trail off the long 1,690 ft ridge, which parallels Thunderbird, cuts over the top of the small hill, to some ruins on the other side. Today, I discovered a freshly cut trail -- not worn, cut -- that curves around the south side of the hill. Wow, I'm surprised gonzo MTBers need that sort of assistance, avoiding a hairy couple of feet of not-very rocky ascent. Notice that in this picture http://hikearizona.com/photo=383175 , there is no trail across it, yet here, showing the same concrete block, there is http://hikearizona.com/photo=409624 . |
