It's also the biggest hike to and from. As you walk in, it's very green an lush. this ruin is one of the most interesting in the sense that they have excavated and reconstructed some pit houses, which are from 625 AD, about 500+ years older than most of the cliff dwellings built in 1100 AD. It's also interesting to see how they have illustrated from this ruin and other mesa top pithouse ruins how pithouses evolved into kivas.
We spotted them while walking on the trail, and then while sitting at a picnic table they came out of the brush and crossed the road right in front of us.
