| partners | | You know those spontaneous outings where you have NO clue where you're going until you're halfway there and all you're told to do is pack everything you need for a hike and a swim and dry clothes to change in to...yeah that's not vague at all, once I figured out we were going to "Butcher Jones" I was still in the dark...
Sicky and I ended up exploring some exciting dirt roads, I think I almost threw up twice...especially when he backed the truck down a nice little dirt road that teetered precariously on the ridge of a tiny little peninsula....point...type thing. Sweet!
We drove down to a cove and I went straight into the chilly water without a second thought. Chumley opted to take his little DINGY which he insists on calling a boat...
We eventually ended up shootin' some soda cans, oh sorry, targets then pranced up Butcher Jones Trail. Not gonna lie taht trail is reeeeally boring for the first mile...once the "tourists" turn back the trail opens up to wild flowers and a less trampled path and some beautiful views of the lake and surrounding areas, I think we spotted the Four Peaks quite a few times.
We ran into a nice guy who knew a bit about local flora so the three of us chatted it up for a bit before Chum and I darted back down the trail.
Awesome day, hope Sicky doesn't get pnuemonia or something! Eh, it's worth it |
