The start of the Boyer trail reminded me of Apache Maid with the cow pies and scrub brush but soon we were in a Pine forest with many squirrels and several whitetail deer prancing off. Near the end of the trees the trail was a little faint but thanks to the GPS we were back on trail. Once the trail opened up to some open areas the views were great. We hiked down to find shade and had lunch before starting back. The hike out seemed easier than the hike in and there was shade off and on to keep things cool. In summary it's a nice area that's worth a look. |
