| partners | | Met Joe early this morning and headed out on what would be a fantastic hike. Weather was cool and breezy at the start. Later in the hike we were reminded we still live in Arizona.
We headed up Siphon Draw and then hit the Flatiron for good measure. Then it was out on the Ridgeline for an enjoyable trek to 5057. Joe spotted a white tail bouncing along the ridgeline a little ways ahead of us. The views off both sides are always enjoyable. One thing I noticed that was different is that Black Top Mesa has disappeared. It is now "Green" Top Mesa.
Once at 5057 we took a short break and then headed back the way we came. This hike is great when you don't want to do the shuttle setup.
Just before heading down I hit Peak 5024 while Joe soaked up some sun. Then it was a knee banging trip down as we tried to figure out who Fred Durst played for. At the bottom Joe's smart phone filled in the blank. I would have never got it right.
Good times. |
