We continued down the switchbacks enjoying the good trail work until we reached the bottom of the canyon. Very nice in this section with grassy meadows and some sycamores in the drainage. Took a short side trip to look at Crab Tree Spring. It's about 300 feet below the trail in the drainage which was dry except for two small pools marking the spring. Good water and definitely filterable. Took another break in this area before continuing on down canyon.
