Amazing hike up in the Supes today! Gave recording a GPS route in the mountain a try with the HAZ app on my Galaxy S3. Worked like a charm! I downloaded the official route onto my phone and followed it for most of the way. A few times my hiking buddy and myself got a bit distracted and found our own way a few times. Garden Valley was really muddy, my dog really enjoyed it though :roll:

. Conditions everywhere else on the trail seemed pretty normal. Lots of water pools after Saturdays rain, and it was cold when we showed up to the trailhead. We ended up missing the trail to Hackberry but decided we would hike the loop counterclockwise instead and catch it on the way back.

We found an awesome place to have lunch overlooking a valley and even met a few friendly hikers passing by.

The spring was AWESOME. I was grinning ear to ear the whole time we explored down there. The pooch really loved it too. All in all a great day hiking the mountain, hoping the weather is just as beautiful next weekend when I plan to check out another trail.
