An relaxing short hike because one friend is recovering from knee surgery and another had prior commitments early morning and mid afternoon. Flowers were blooming in the desert. Weather was warm. There were a lot of other hikers and backpackers. Saw one rattler a couple of feet from the trail, but wasn't able to break out the camera to get a good shot before it slithered away into the bushes and kept his furious rattling. We got on top of the ridge to get a good commanding view of the First Water Creek from above.
