| no partners | | Absolutely beautiful day today out in the Supes. Got to the trailhead around 11:15 and hit the trail with my four legged pal Diesel by 11:18. It was warm with a nice cool breeze my entire hike, there was not a single cloud in the sky.
I passed by 4-5 people on Second Water Trail but once I made it into Garden Valley I had the trail to myself for almost the rest of my hike. Diesel took to full out sprinting once we reached the Valley, no cholla incidents this time  .
We did a little side adventure behind Hackberry Mesa. I was going to try to go around the Mesa then into Hackberry Spring and meet up with the trail to the horse lot but there were a lot of riders down there. One young lady's horse got spooked by my pup for a second and I thought it would be best if I doubled back to the regular route after that.
Great weather, great views. All around great hike. Now to figure out where I'm going to explore tomorrow  |
