| partners | | | We got a nice peak in, and it was somewhat of a pleasant and unexpected surprise. Ken and I started from the colorful basin to Giers' southwest side and kept finding weaknesses in the numerous cliffbands we encountered. It was definitely a fun, albeit crumbly, puzzle to solve. Loose basalt underfoot kept your attention, but it was great to explore this new area of the state. The juvenile bighorn on top was faster than us (but maybe not Bob or JJ...), and we enjoyed the cool and breezy summit before making our way down and to the "famous" Desert Bar. |
