The rain we had gotten leading up the Superbowl was running down the mountainside and it was really nice to see so much gravity pumped water running in the brook. The trail starts off easy, as you go up the climb steepens. By the time I got to the cave I sounded like a bellows. Around the cave was really pretty with the rock formations reaching toward the sky and all the soil stripped off the mountainside making it look like a paved street. There is a rock formation that juts up as you hike up toward the cave and it made me think of the Throne of Swords from the Game of Thrones. I took it all the way out to the lonely pine tree. I Got some great shots of Weaver's needle by the pine tree. Overall, it was a great hike and I will definitely do it again. |
