The Real Apache Gold!
Next stop for the day was the massive poppy display at Peridot Mesa on the San Carlos Reservation east of Globe. Recent postings on the DesertUSA wildflower report page showed me it was in full swing. After lingering there awhile to bask in the sea of orange and yellow, I headed for Globe and points west. Yup, this was turning out to be a very enjoyable day! :D
