| no partners | | A visit to ride on some of the equipment and enjoy the pleasant grounds. When I go there, I like to lodge in nearby Hemet. I also included some shots of the historic Hemet train station as well. There is another historic train station in Perris (built 1892), as this was once part of the California Southern Railway that ran from Barstow to National City. Interestingly, a Los Angeles commuter rail extension has recently been opened from Riverside to Perris, bringing passenger service back to area again. Trains operated by the Orange Empire Railway Museum run over some of the old CSR track, but stop about one block south of the historic Perris Station.
