| no partners | | | Temperatures were to reach 90 degrees in the Valley, so we decided to hike higher elevations today. The Six Shooter trail was in good shape. When we reached the Telephone trail, we opted to go on the peak to see the view from there. We ran into two other hikers who had driven to the top and were walking the peak area to take in the views. I liked the Telephone trail on the return with the beautiful manzanita surrounded paths, but the areas that we had to negotiate where the trenching had been done was tiring. We were surprised to see we had gone 15 miles at the end of the hike. Time to hit Los Hermanos for dinner on the way back to Mesa. |
