A recent renewal effort for the iconic AZ-shaped steel cut out signs was almost complete when an avid HAZ hiker found one more, at Italian Trap. We were going to add new artwork for this one but decided since it is located on a now-closed FS road, it would be better placed where a bit more traffic will see it. The end of Gardner Canyon Road was selected.

A couple weeks ago the Usual Suspects bumped and bounced out to the sign near Italian Trap and removed it; today they re-installed it just a few feet up the trail in the trees at Gardner Canyon. New artwork is in the works.
