The 76 mile section was pretty good shape the whole way. There is a pic of every downed tree along the way. It was a little brushy on #39 along first 6 miles before it crosses over Hwy 67 but then it's clear except for occasional downed tree. #40 is also clear even though last 5 miles is in the burn area. First 9 miles of #41 has a few downed trees and brushy at times. The last 4 or 5 miles it drops into a canyon and this is probably the worst part with down trees and some erosion until it reaches Hwy89A. Once across Hwy 89A on #42 and #43 the trail is in best shape. There is no tree fall and very few areas that the trail is hard to follow. The best part about this 76 mile stretch is that there are so many roads that access to any place along the trail will probably require mile or less of hiking. |
