Paddled to a nice spot for lunch. Micah enjoyed playing in the pools in the rocks. First family trip in the hand me down canoe I spent my youth paddling in the boundary waters with my dad. Nice views water was a little choppy. We got out before the winds picked up and the white caps came out. Drove over to the more forested side and did a 1.5 mile hike through the aspen forest and by a small cove with some nice camp spots. Nice area only about 30 min. from the house. Micah enjoyed paddling up front on the way back. Since I did most of the paddling, I was happy I brought my kayak paddle it worked well and was more efficient. |
