| no partners | | My wife and I have had this one on our list for a while now, and we finally made it up here. We were hoping for some good fall color, and we weren't disappointed. This is a beautiful trail with a lot to see. Loved the variety... from mesquite forests to red rocks and sycamores in just a few minutes. We spent a lot of time just sitting by the water and enjoying the surroundings. We didn't quite make it to Parsons Spring, but we did enough meandering to still make this an over 8 mile hike.
On the way out we were passed by a group of 4 who, after seeing their triplogs, I now realize were Chumley, BiFrost, John9L, and Tough_Boots. They were just stomping through the creek crossings as my wife and I were struggling to stay dry...making us look like chumps. |

Autumn Foliage Observation Moderate Hit or miss but still a lot of good color in some areas. |
