| partners | | I suggested this one to LiLD for a hike to do with his family. I hadn't done it either and they let me join them. It's in my Burgers and Boots book plus the 100 hikes book so that was cool too. The weather forecast was so so with 30% chance of rain and 60% after 11am. LiLD,Erica,Lily,Isaac and I hit the trail around 7:30am. It was overcast but the weather turned out to be awesome the whole hike. A couple drops was it and very little sunshine. A nice hike and one you could enjoy in all seasons, I believe. A little to cool for swimming today but the kids had lots of fun at the creek crossings. Erica tweaked her knee but toughed it out. A good time was had by all. I do think the kids comfort zone may be 6 miles instead of 8 but they did fine. My book suggested Haunted Hamburger in Jerome to eat. That didn't work out with no parking and Jerome was crazy busy. Just grabbed a bite in cottonwood and headed home. The rainy weather hit us on our way home and lasted until I10.  Good time! |
