| no partners | | A couple of years ago while researching an area out of Camp Verde, I stumbled upon an article about the Meteor Baby that was found in a ruin in the Verde Valley. verdenews.com/main. ... 1230
It was thought to have been found in one pueblo, but recently a keen eye determined it was at the John Heath site. Last year we had gone to the Camp Verde Museum to see the "Baby" on loan from ASU and in talking with an individual about it, enough to prove I wasn't some digger, he drew me a little map to John Heath.

After we explored the site we headed up the mountains to check drainages and saddles. From a ways off we saw a storage room in a cavate. So we headed down toward it only to be met by a slot canyon. Dang. We finally got to a point we could head up it and after a couple of climbs up the canyon wall I found the storage area. Whew! |
