Spent the day hiking the area around the cliff dwelling we were at last week. Came upon a couple of huge pottery fields and then stumbled upon this fort. It amazes us why these buildings have industrial strength thick walls and on the edge of an inaccessible cliff wall. Is it a show of force? This one at Perry Mesa..
