After a two week work week the Mrs. and I wanted to hit Bismarck Lake for our annual fall foliage fest. As we approached Flagg on Sunday it became apparent that the peaks were under clouds and a big front was following us from the Verde Valley. Time for plan-B. I remembered seeing posts on Sandy's Canyon and that parking at the campground would be our TH. Well some light rain would grace us, but most importantly no lightning. So cool temps, fresh rain and not working made for a most awesome day of hiking.
