| no partners | | | Went hiking in the Supes with my friend Linda. The Peralta TH parking lot was only half full which is very strange for a Saturday. We went for Charlebois (which was not our original plan) but we did not make it as I had a little mishap. I got my hiking stick stuck in a rock and face planted in baby head-sized boulders scraping and bruising my arms and knee. My favorite hiking stick that AZ Wandering Bear made for me is now two hiking sticks (no longer usable unless your vertically challenged). Linda also had a near mishap as a gorgeous Gila Monster was sunning himself on a rock in the middle of the trail. She was less than two feet from him. The Gila Monster hissed with mouth wide open. He was not happy with us at all. I had planned to hike Flat Iron on Monday with the Trekkin Gecko and AZ Wandering Bear, but instead, I'm recovering from my bruised ego and body! Hate it when that happens! At least I got some good miles in and I got to enjoy a day with my good friend Linda. |
