First trip up Mt Graham to about 9000 feet. Walked into the still closed Shannon Campground and a bit of Arcadia.
Still plenty of snow up there - saw a group of snow shelters built by some hardy winter campers.
Enjoyed - immensely - the smell of Ponderosa Pines ... smells like home.
Saw pretty little mountain streams flowing with fresh snowmelt.
Saw Abert's squirrels, chipmunks, and best of all the endangered Mt Graham red squirrel - so pleased to see this little cutie on my very first visit to it's range! :)
