2nd of 2 short hikes on the day. I decided to do this one alone and I was glad I did because bringing the youngster would've been painful due to all the rocks and deadfall to hop over. By the time I started hiking, the cloud cover had increased significantly and when paired with a steady breeze was very enjoyable. Willow Springs Lake was quiet today. Once back in the canyon I met a couple of guys fly fishing the stream but had total solitude after that. There is still a surprising amount of snow in the canyon's shaded spots. The stream was running good the entire length of my hike. Lots of elk sign but no sightings. Neat little spot to explore.
