Late morning hike to stretch our legs after camping at Willow Springs Friday night. We hiked about two miles but didn't have it in us to go another two (figured they'd be two slow ones as we were doing a bit of rock/deadwood hopping as it was) to the confluence before turning back. On a busy day at the lake this offered nice solitude and it was mildly temped down below with a lot of shade and a cool stream.

Did almost step on a ~3' (terrestrial) gartersnake on the trail though! Di's scream could've broke the dam ;)
